Screenplays...
Since moving back to Santa Fe, Melinda has become a dedicated screen writer. Her first screenplay, "Three Quarter Moon" won the Silver Award for Romantic Comedy at WorldFest Houston. Her second screenplay, "Temptation", made the second cut (top 10%) in the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Comptetion, and her third screenplay, "Gas, Knife, Pills" won HonorableMention in the Hollywood-based Writemovies.com contest. She is currently
working on an international thriller.
Three Quarter Moon or The Search for Love and BonBon Diego:
A New Age screwball comedy in which a beautiful French amnesiac, a fanatical Southern belle and a suicidal young actor cross paths and swords in the wilds of New Mexico.
Temptation:
During her husband's absence, a woman alone at an isolated ranch house takes in a starving man and self-proclaimed prophet she finds half-frozen in the snow.
The woman, struggling with alcoholism, becomes obsessed by the holy man's perverse religious zeal.
When her husband returns, the trio becomes embroiled in an intense psychological struggle that eventually leads to murder.
Gas, Knife, Pills:
Three unlikely friends whose lives haven't been going so well, honor a pact they made a few years back: to go on a credit card, no holds barred, fantasy-fulfilling adventure across France...and then commit suicide.
The Thriller:
